FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT FRANZ'S A-1 PAINTING SERVICE

1. Do you provide a warranty on your service?
Yes. We provide a one (1) year warranty on all work, beginning from the date of completion of the project.

2. What are your payment terms?
We require a deposit of 1/3 of the total project fee in advance. The final 2/3 of the total project fee is due upon completion of the work. Payment can be made by cash, check, cashiers check, or money order.

3. Is your painting company insured?
Yes. Franz Weinmuller's A-1 Painting Service is a fully licensed, bonded and insured painting contractor with the State of Washington (license #: FRANZWA107J6).

4. How do I care for my newly painted interior surface?
Freshly painted surfaces may be washed after thirty (30) days. If possible, avoid touching any freshly painted surface during this time period. After thirty (30) days, dirt, dust, and stains may be removed with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.

5. Does the exterior of my house / building need to be cleaned prior to painting?
All surfaces must be clean and free of debris prior to painting. We offer a power washing and cleaning service to prepare exterior surfaces for painting. The washed surfaces will then be tested with a moisture meter to determine whether they are dry enough to seal.

6. What conditions are required for exterior painting?
The ambient air temperature should be above 50° Fahrenheit.

7. Do you stain / paint decks?
Yes. We stain and paint outdoor decks and patios. We also offer a power washing service for cleanup of decks, patios, and other exterior surfaces.

8. Can I paint over existing aluminum or vinyl siding?
Yes. All surfaces must be clean and free of debris prior to painting. Repainting aluminum siding can make it appear new and can be done for approximately 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of having new siding installed.

9. Do you provide touch-up paint on completion of the project?
Yes. If we purchase the materials, we provide touch-up paint in sealed, clearly-marked containers for all painted surfaces.

10. Can we supply our own paint?
Yes. However, we recommend that you consider allowing us to purchase paint and other materials, as we receive significant discounts due to our ongoing relationships with local paint retailers.
